We wanted to see from the poor reviews of Marquis could they all be true? We were not disappointed.
How do they expect customers to even view stock when all the Motorhomes are locked
After walking around not one salesman noticed our presence until we had given up trying to look inside vans and decided to leave. We feel relieved we purchased our new motorhome from SMC who took every care and looked after us.

I had an appointment confirmed for midday today. Took the day off work and called before leaving to confirm I’d be there for 12 midday. Was assured all in order and they were expecting me.

I arrived just before 12 to find the salesman ( who simply ignored me), was showing another couple the van and then promptly put on the trade plates and took them for a test drive. They simply ignored the fact I had an appointment and left me unattended for around 40 minutes. The lady in reception was lovely and apologetic, but little she could do, neither the van or salesman were there.

I decided to leave after 45 mins and lo and behold the van and salesman had just returned. I let him know how disappointed I was in his lack of manners and professionalism in not honouring the appointment. The conversation didn’t go well from either side and ended with the salesman telling me he didn’t need my business and asking me if I’d like to go elsewhere and have a fist fight to sort it out. He asked me at least three times to go and fight him. I chose not to fight but to leave. If this is how they treat potential customers I dread to think how they are if you have already parted cash with them.

Picked up our K Yacht 90 in April and just taken it in for its 3 monthly check. The service has been great from start to finish. OK, we've had a few niggles but they've been handled as well as the team have been able to. We're currently very pleased with the service we've received. We'll done Marquis

We have taken our motorhome to Marquis for habitation checks for the last four years. We had been pleased with the service but we have now discovered that the checks were not completed fully. Marquis did not register any of the checks with Adria which made them void and for the last check in September this year they did not complete the check fully as the garage had equipment in it. We had been told it was ok to leave things in it and we were on site the while the check was being done but none of them thought to mention it! We were told that everything was fine and they did not go through the paperwork, just took the payment. Having just tried to sell the motorhome we have discovered that we have damp in the back which we cannot claim for and it has cost us £1500 as a result. The reading came back as 99% which leads us to believe that it must have been like that for previous checks. It all seems suspiciously like they haven’t bothered to do the job properly and whilst saying everything is fine not explaining anything thoroughly to the customer. Of course when we challenged them they had excuses but they are a shoddy company with poor standards without any respect for customer service. We will not go back there, it’s a lesson learned.

21/04/2023 update
We have now seen the report that shows where the damp was and find that it was in the roof so this makes their workmanship even shoddier

Went up to the Northampton branch today to view a particular motorhome they had in stock. Was dealt with in an extremely professional and friendly manner by Mark.
Even when I advised that I had already made arrangements to purchase through another salesman at a different branch Mark continued to assist and help us. He offered advice which deterred is from investing in unnecessary accessories and explained many facets of the motorhome and the purchase process. Thank you Mark for guiding us through the maze.

Brought our motorhome from here just prior to Covid so not in the most normal of times as every business suffered.

Marquis went over & beyond to assist my purchase as they held a Pre Reg motorhome for me for almost 5 months with an enhanced deposit.

Couldn't use it until July '20 due to lockdown & despite a few 'teething problems' that came to light Marquis handled them reasonably promptly.

When they didn't & a follow up contact was required Diane in reception was the 'go to' person who chased things up & got things done.

Overall, very happy with my purchase & aftersales care.

Initial sale was fine but the after sales service is hopeless. 2 and a half year in and still dealing with warranty issues. Forgot to register the claim, didn't take the right photograph, The guy that had the service sheet went on holiday(told to me after they had the vehicle for 2 weeks with no work being done), the person that looks after warranty claims left... and so it goes on.

Try and get a progress report and the warranty person is busy - you never get a call back
